KEEP YOUR JEWELLERY LOOKING GOOD FOR LONGER

We pride ourselves on making quality pieces that you can wear everyday. And like everything fine, your jewellery deserves some TLC.

To keep your pieces sparkling forever, it’s important to care for and store your jewellery properly. But don’t worry, we have you covered with these top tips to keep your jewellery looking good as new.

Tip 1: Looking after your jewellery starts at the beginning of your day. Perfumes and other chemicals can tarnish your jewellery over time, so to get the most out of your pieces, spray yourself in perfume first and wait for it to dry before layering up your jewellery.

Tip 2: As much as we all still want to look stylish while working out, it’s best to just stick to cute gym sets and leave your jewellery at home. Sweat has the same effect as perfume and can tarnish your beloved jewellery. So next time you go to Saturday morning spin, make sure to leave your chains and stacking rings behind.

Tip 3: To keep your jewellery looking as good as new, deep clean your jewellery every few months – but being gentle is key! Use a microfibre cloth or a specialist jewellery cleaning cloth. NO other products or chemicals are recommended for gold jewellery and rose gold jewellery – simply carefully shine them with a dry cloth. However, your silver jewellery can be cleaned gently with a soft toothbrush and warm soapy water.

Tip 4: The way you store your favourite pieces is really important. It’s best to store your favourite pieces in a clean dry place, such as a jewellery box or a fabric-lined case. If your Becky’s Boutique jewellery comes in a fabric pouch, this is the perfect place to store your jewellery and will help keep it looking as good as new for longer. Silver jewellery becomes shinier the more it’s worn (the natural oils in your skin and friction slows down any tarnishing) so don’t let it sit in your jewellery box for too long!

Tip 5: We all need a break every once in a while and so does your jewellery. Taking your pieces off at night and when you shower or wash/sanitise your hands will help to ensure your favourite jewellery is kept looking shiny and beautiful.
