From traditional bands to shaped rings, use our guide to help you find a ring you’ll cherish forever.

Consider your personal style and choose a wedding band that reflects your personality. Do you prefer a simple, classic design or something more intricate?

Your wedding band is a symbol of your commitment, so choose a style that you will be happy to wear for many years to come.

Traditional Wedding Bands

Loved for their simplicity, choose a smooth polished finish or a light hammered finish for your traditional wedding ring.

Choose from our court shape, D-shape (half-round) and flat wedding bands in solid 9ct or 18ct gold.

Shaped Wedding Rings

Shaped wedding bands are perfect if you have an engagement ring that needs a curved wedding ring to fit around it.

Choose our traditional Wishbone Ring or a bespoke design such as a delicate curve or a cut-out in the ring.

Consider the width

The width of your wedding band will affect how it looks on your finger. Think about the size of your hands and fingers when choosing the width of your band.

All of our wedding bands can be made in different widths, thicknesses and metals – please contact us for a quote if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

If you want a slim wedding band, we recommend a minimum thickness of 1.5mm. Rings thinner than 1.5mm are more likely to bend, twist or change shape over time.

Most people match the profile/shape, thickness and width of their wedding band to that of their engagement ring or choose a wider band that is at least twice the width as the engagement ring to create a nice contrast.

Choose the right metal

The metal you choose for your wedding band is important. There are numerous metals available, all with different properties that make some more suitable than others. You will need to consider factors such as durability, colour, and price.

Wedding bands are traditionally crafted in solid gold with 18ct most commonly used for its durability and higher standard of purity and hardness.

We also recommend choosing the same metal as your engagement ring to help avoid any tarnish, so it’s important to keep this in mind.

Our standard wedding rings are available in solid 9ct or 18ct (yellow or white) gold to suit a range of budgets and styles.

Our wedding bands can also be made in sterling silver; however please note that silver doesn’t age as well as gold (for example, the air will oxidise/tarnish the surface and it scratches more easily than gold). If you want a silver colour band and your budget will reach it, then we recommend choosing white gold

Read our Guide to Gold Jewellery for more information about the different metal options.

Adding gemstones

Gemstone wedding rings are becoming increasingly popular.

Do you have existing jewellery with gemstones in you would like to incorporate? Are there gemstones that have significant meaning or sentimental value that you’d like to add (like birthstones)?

Matching wedding bands

Do you want your partner’s wedding bands to match yours? Or, do you both want to choose different styles personal to you? Do you want your wedding band to match your engagement ring?

This decision is entirely personal. We understand that wedding rings are the most special and symbolic piece of jewellery you may ever buy, so we want to help you get it right.
