Whether it’s for you or a loved one, to mark an occasion like a birthday or engagement, or simply a treat for yourself, you’ve come to the right place.
The great thing about commissioning a piece of jewellery is that it can be whatever you want. It can be smart and classic, or bold and colourful. You can add sentimental and symbolic touches such as birthstones. It’s an investment, heirloom piece of jewellery to wear and love, which in time, can be passed on to your loved ones to add to its story.
Whether you already have a firm idea of what you want, or you have no idea where to start, let’s work together to design and create an amazing piece especially for you.
Tell me what you’d like me to create for you by completing my Commission Form. Please include as much detail as possible to help me understand exactly what you’re looking for.
If I need to clarify any details or confirm any additional information with you, I will contact you to organise a consultation via phone or video call. If necessary, I may also set up a collaborative space for us to share pictures, inspiration, etc. to help us develop the design and any themes.
Once I have all the information I need, I will create an initial design for you to review. If you’d like to make any changes, please be as specific as you can with your feedback. I will make any necessary adjustments to the design until you’re happy with it.
Upon completion of the design, I will document all details relating to the commission in the Commission Contract. When you’re ready to confirm your order, you will sign the Commission Contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to be paid.
I will let you know as soon as the piece is finished and send you a link for the 50% remaining balance payment. Once you’ve made this payment, I will dispatch and complete your order. All commission orders will be sent via tracked and insured mail.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to be paid upon completion of design and signature of the Commission Contract.
The remaining 50% balance is required on completion of the piece. Jewellery will not be dispatched until payment has been made in full.
If a significant amount of design or redesign work is required, I will require a non-refundable payment for this work before I continue with the design work. The amount will be dependent on the work completed to date and will be deducted from the total order amount if you choose to proceed with the order.
The following forms of payment are accepted: bank transfer, PayPal, direct via website, Klarna, and card payments in person.
All details relating to the commission will be documented in the Commission Contract, including but not limited to customer information, item design, sizing and personalisation information, pricing and payment schedule, lead time and delivery details.
The Commission Contract will be agreed and signed by both parties before the commencement of work to confirm the order.
Terminating the Contract
If terminated by you, the Commissioning Party; should you request the termination of the Contract for an unfinished piece, Becky’s Jewellery Boutique will be refund any monies received over the 50% non-refundable deposit. In the case where the piece is 100% complete, the full remaining balance is required to release the jewellery to you. In the case where you enter financial hardship but would still like to continue, there are various options available. Please speak to me about this.
If terminated by me, The Jeweller; should I conclude at any point that there is sufficient need for the termination of the Contract, I retain the right to withhold the 50% deposit payment depending on situation. All jewellery belonging to you for use in the commission will be returned to you.
The timeframe for completing commissions is different for each piece. However, this will be discussed as part of the design process and confirmed with the customer prior to signing the Commission Contract.
Please let me know if you have any deadlines as soon as possible.
Commission orders will be completed and delivered in the time agreed upon with the client. If I foresee any possible delays, I will notify you as soon as possible and do my best to keep these to a minimum.
We cannot accept returns for any commissioned and/or personalised jewellery as it is personalised and made to your specifications.
If you have any concerns, questions or changes, please let me know before signing the Commission Contract.
In the case of a manufacturing fault only, please contact me for instructions on how to return the jewellery to me for repair.
Hallmarking costs are included in the price of your final piece. Pieces will be sent to the Assay office via the standard hallmarking service. If you have an urgent requirement, there may be an additional cost to expedite this process.
Whenever possible I like to size your ring for you in person so I can get exactly the right fit for you. However, where this isn’t possible there are a few other options:
Also consider that thicker/wider band rings will need to be about half a size bigger than your original size. If your hands are hot or cold, there may also be a half size difference from the original size.
Important information: If you are providing me with your own ring size please take every precaution to be as precise as you can. It is your responsibility to get this information right and I cannot be held responsible for incorrect ring sizing. I will make rings to your instruction and any sizing errors on your part may result in extra costs for resizing or even a full remake. Please feel free to discuss this with me at any point. I will do everything I can to help you through this process if needed.
All records of requested original personalisation are kept on file so that if for any reason there is an error in your order it can be traced back to source. I will make sure any personalisation is checked and confirmed again by the client before starting work to reduce the risk of errors.
If I make an error, the item will be replaced free of charge following the return of the item. If the error is made by the client, a full reorder and payment may be necessary.
Refund or exchanges cannot be given on commission or personalised orders. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact me at any time.
I have an insured and secure workshop; your jewellery will be kept as safe as possible. It is labelled and treated with care to avoid any complications.
If you are sending me jewellery to aid in the design or making process, you will be provided with a list of jewellery received within 24 hours of receipt. Your jewellery will be stored securely and carefully. All pieces will be sent back to you via a tracked and insured delivery service.
I provide a free aftercare service, including polishing and reshaping.
In the event of damage or necessary repair, please contact me first before consulting with a third party:
