Our founder Becky has always been inspired by the wonders of the ocean and the beauty of mother nature and its hidden treasures along the shore. And research has proven that time by the coast and sea makes us feel happier and healthier.
Yet, did you know that our oceans play a vital role in regulating the Earth’s climate, but they are also being affected by climate change?
Every year an estimated 11 million tonnes of plastics enter our ocean.
29 million metric tones of plastic is expected to enter the ocean every year by 2040.
It’s estimated that 1.5 million tonnes of microplastics enter the ocean every year.

At Becky’s Boutique, we are committed to having a positive, lasting impact by supporting causes close to our hearts and creating positive change – for us, for you and for the planet.
That’s why, in honour of Earth Day 2023, we are proud to announce the next step in our sustainability journey. From today, we will donate 10% from the sale of every piece of jewellery purchased from our Coastal Collection to the Marine Conservation Society to help clean up our seas, protect marine life and combat the climate crisis.
The Marine Conservation Society is a UK charity fighting for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean: one we can all enjoy. This includes finding ways to prevent and clean up marine litter and pollution, securing spaces where species and habitats can recover, and promoting sustainable fishing.
Here’s just a few of the reasons we’re supporting the Marine Conservation Society (MCS):
Protecting Marine Wildlife
MCS is dedicated to protecting marine wildlife including whales, dolphins, sharks, turtles, and seals. By supporting MCS, you can help ensure that these animals have a safe and healthy habitat to live in.
Reducing Plastic Pollution
One of the biggest threats facing marine life is plastic pollution. MCS is working to reduce ocean plastic pollution through campaigns like the Great British Beach Clean and the Plastic Challenge.
Promoting Sustainable Fishing Practices
MCS is also working to promote sustainable fishing practices, which helps protect fish populations and the wider marine environment.
Climate Change
MCS is working to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change on the marine environment and to promote solutions that can help mitigate these impacts.
By supporting the Marine Conservation Society, you can help raise awareness of these issues and inspire others to take action to protect our oceans:
We’re incredibly excited to be able to play a part in helping to clean our oceans and supporting the fantastic work of the Marine Conservation Society.
